Well hello there ~
I’m Elisabeth Sivertsen, also known as Arevya (she/her), I’m a disabled and chronically ill content creator, accessibility advocate, and public speaker from Norway.
I’m born with a mild brain injury, called cerebral palsy, but I was not told about this before I was a teenager. Growing up, I had a good childhood with a supportive family, hobbies, and friends, but I often felt like an outsider; an alien in my own body, without the words to explain why.
That changed when I got older, when gaming entered my life through a PC on the kitchen counter I could barely reach and a purple Game Boy Colour with Pokémon Yellow. For the first time in my life, I felt an unlimited sense of self-worth, like I was good enough, just the way I was. Since then, gaming has been a crucial part of my life.
I started my content creation journey as a variety streamer in 2016, with a focus on building a safe, positive, and welcoming space for gamers who felt a bit outside, just like me. Over the years, I became known for my seagull laughter, my wholesome community (The Puppy Gang), and my passion for standing up for what’s right. With my community, I built a disability and LGBT+ safe space where everyone could be themselves, exactly as they were!
As I got older, I became chronically ill with arthritis, and my focus began to shift when I realized I could no longer use a standard controller anymore without a massive amount of pain. Luckily, with help from my community, I discovered accessibility tools and started playing games with my feet!
Today, my focus has grown beyond just streaming and has evolved into a burning passion for game accessibility. I create videos, streams, and educational content that make accessibility in gaming approachable, engaging, and fun. I help players, developers, and studios understand what works (and what doesn’t) in game accessibility because I wholeheartedly believe that gaming is for everyone.
Over the last five years I have been able to work together with publishers to promote games accessibility for millions of people, done accessibility consulting for some of my favourite studio, and speak at conferences and events worldwide, both in English and Norwegian.
In 2023 and 2024 I was nominated for different advocacy award both nationally and internationally, and in 2025 I won "The advocacy award" at GAconf Award for using my voice to make a different across the wider gaming industry. In 2026 I was credited as “accessibility expert” in my first Norwegian game, Life Below.
My goal today is to create content that is easy to understand and apply for both developers and gamers alike, while building a community driven by curiosity and shared learning.
